    Sustainability

    We use the following materials:

      • Cotton from certified organic farming (kbA)
      • Recycled cotton
      • Linen
      • Wool from certified organic animal husbandry (kbT)
      • Man-made cellulose fiber
        • TENCEL™ Lyocell from Lenzing
        • LENZING™ ECOVERO™ Viscose from Lenzing
        • TENCEL™ Modal from Lenzing
    • We have always produced under fair working conditions. However, the switch to using only sustainable materials was a process that took several years. That's why you can also find styles from older collections in our online store that are still made from conventional cotton, for example.
    • You can find more information about the materials here.

What do you mean by "fairly produced"?

    • All employees in our production facilities in Poland and Lithuania earn at least the minimum wage of the respective country - but most of them earn more. They have a high degree of flexibility regarding their working hours, can take appropriate breaks and are entitled to vacation and sick pay.
    • Most employees have a permanent position.
    • Our production partners have appropriate working conditions, i.e. reasonable lighting, sufficient space and appropriate emergency exits, among other things.
    • As part of Fashion Revolution Week, we will take you behind the scenes. Find here further information.

In which countries do you produce?

    • Part of our philosophy is to manufacture in Europe, as this allows us to keep delivery routes short.
    • Our collections are manufactured in medium-sized companies in Portugal, Lithuania, Poland and Turkey, with whom we maintain a close working relationship.
    • Our production partners offer safe working conditions, fair pay, vacation entitlement and sick pay for all employees.
    • You can find more information about the productions here.

Do you only use vegan materials?

    • No, we don't just offer clothing and accessories made from vegan materials. You can also find various styles made from wool. When it comes to animal products such as wool, we attach great importance to raw materials from controlled organic animal husbandry (kbT). Our buttons are exclusively vegan.
    • We have always produced under fair working conditions. However, the switch to using only sustainable materials was a process that took several years. This is why you can also find styles from older collections in our online store that are made from non-certified wool.

    What does kbA/kbT mean?

    • kbA is the abbreviation for controlled organic cultivation. This means that chemical fertilizers, synthetic pesticides and genetically modified seeds are not used in cultivation.
    • kbT is the abbreviation for controlled organic animal husbandry. This means that species-appropriate animal husbandry is ensured. The feeding of genetically modified plants or fattening aids is prohibited. Tail docking and mulesing are also prohibited.

    What does GOTS mean?

    • GOTS is the abbreviation for Global Organic Textile Standard and is an international product label. It guarantees that strict environmental criteria are met along the entire production chain and that no substances that are harmful to health or the environment are used. Products bearing the GOTS seal must consist of at least 70% natural fibers from organic farming.
    • The GOTS seal also provides information about social working conditions. It is based on the ILO core labor standards. The International Labor Organization (ILO) of the United Nations has formulated certain social standards that guarantee humane working conditions with appropriate protection.

    Are you GOTS-certified?

    • Many of you may have already asked yourselves this question - and rightly so, because the Global Organic Textile Standard is a textile label that ensures ecological and social criteria along the entire supply chain. As we meet the strict criteria from the field, through production, to us on site, we have been officially GOTS-certified since 2022. You can find out more about GOTS here.
